(Pretend this is a paragraph about how bad I feel about not posting lately, apologies, excuses, general sorriness that none of you really believe - because you know the truth. That I'm lazy. And now pretend like you forgive me because I'm pretending like you're all so terribly wrapped up in my pathetic little life and we'll all move on with smiles on our faces. There. Better now? On with the show.)
We've been to the baby Doctor twice now, once two weeks ago, where I had two gallons of blood drawn and TP had to stand by my head while I had the annual check down. When it came time for the ultrasound, all we could see was the baby's lunchbox (yolk sac) but no baby yet.
I went back this past Thursday and we looked again and could see the baby and it's 150 bmp heartbeat. The doctor wanted to look from the outside too, but we couldn't see anything that way, so there's no photographic evidence of this event.
The doctor seemed worried that the baby was only measuring 7 weeks, but after I explained to her that I knew exactly, within a few days, when this occurred, she seemed a little more optimistic. She still acts like something is wrong because I am not tossing my cookies every day, but I didn't with the H-Man (FKA Mr. Cheeks, I need something new) so I don't know why I would start now. It makes me worried that she is cautious but I don't know of anyone in my family who has ever had a miscarriage, so I'm going to chalk it up to her lack of believing in the fertile myrtle gene that obviously runs in my family.
If she was really worried I imagine she would have wanted to see me sooner than four weeks. When I go back we're going to look at the baby again, and hopefully have some pictures this time.
Work has been crazy again because we have a deadline this Monday and last Monday was the end of the quarter so we had to do provision work which means a stay until midnight. At least it's only once a quarter now and not for two months straight.
We are on our way to TP's office picnic in 30 minutes and I even blow dried my hair for the occasion. We also had to go to Wal-Mart and buy groceries this morning since the only things in my refrigerator were Milk, hummus, tortillas, and some left over pasta from two weeks ago. $302 later we have a stocked fridge.
H-Man had to inspect every item we put in the cart. It was funny when it was cans of diced tomatoes, not so funny when it's a mop. He fell in love with a container of feta cheese and took the cardboard wrapper off and played with it until we got home.
The H-Man and I are walking the race for the cure next weekend with my team form the office. We even have these cute t-shirts in the company color so we can all match.
There have been several nibbles on our house, 5 or 6 visitors, one seriously shitty offer- 16,000 below our asking price. TP is going to Birmingham next weekend to inspect the house and make sure it's still there, dust, do something about the bathroom floor, and make sure no one has run off with our new gutters.
On the 23rd I get to go to Phoenix for the rest of the week. I have already scheduled my facial and massage to take place on Friday afternoon before I come home. I totally deserve it after all these crazy months.
H-Man is going to be a devil for Halloween:

Look at all of those teeth!
We also got the AWESOME wagon a few weeks ago:
